ABA Clinic Resources

House Bill 26-1425 was signed into law on June 2, 2026; this legislation gives statutory authority to the Colorado Department of Human Services to license and regulate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Clinics. It further requires:

  • All operating and/or unlicensed ABA Clinics, as defined in subsection (1.5), to submit an application to the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) by August 1, 2026; and
  • All operating and/or unlicensed ABA Clinics must obtain a license or cease operations by August 1, 2027.

NOTE: Though fire inspections, health inspections and zoning are required for any level or type of licensure, applications may be submitted prior to having completed those requirements to ensure compliance with the August 1, 2026 application deadline.
