“Homeless youth shelter” means a facility that, in addition to other services it may provide, provides services and mass temporary shelter for a period of three days or more to youths who are at least eleven years of age or older and who otherwise are homeless youth as that term is defined in section 26-5.7-102 (2), C.R.S.
What type of license is issued to a Homeless Youth Shelter from CDHS?
A Homeless Youth Shelter is issued a license that is ”Permanent”. Each year the facility will receive a continuation notice which is submitted to the Department with the associated fee. During the year the facility will have a full review of the rules and regulations, by the Department, verifying they are in full compliance. The review can be completed at any time within the licensing year.
